Overall a pretty good unit, Got mine used and hs pretty accuarate trip info, Battery life could be better but had no problems with it so far. Takes some getting used to but touchscreen is nice and display is very clear.
Lots of Forum info and underground support at gpsunderground. It performs very well when compared to the electronics of it's time. I bought it to replace a unit like it that I already had but has a broken display.
My old unit still works but unusable due to no display. I was unable to get a replacement display so I opted to buy this unit instead of sending it back to manufacturer for repair which would cost almost as much as a new one. I figured if the electronics of one or the other fails I can heal it with parts of the other.
I found the display very good no problem just glancing over to see.. To get the unit to remember my starting point home It took a while.
It also did not anticipate as I was entering info. I had an older unit that crapped out so I tried Sony this time. They didn't knock this one out of the park as they do with most other products that I have bought.. Reception was less than my older unit. I was able to be in the home to program my next trip this unit would not. Overall it is good but I don't know what other companies are offering and whether they are easier to use.. If you have patience go ahead and get this if not you may want to check out what others have to offer..
