Microdrives cannot be used to perform this firmware upgrade. Format an approved memory card in the camera. Run the downloaded files to create the folder titled "SBUpdate". This contains the firmware file SB Copy this. Disconnect the camera from the computer if using an memory card reader then insert the memory card to the camera. Connect the Speedlight to the camera and turn both on 6. Select "Update" and follow the camera's on-screen menus. Do not turn the camera or Speedlight off during the upgrade.

When a message displays that the upgrade is complete, turn the camera and Speedlight off. Re-format the memory card. Any of the above actions could cause the camera or SB to become inoperable. Important Do not insert the memory card into slot 2. The current versions of the camera and SB firmware will be displayed. Highlight Update and press the multi selector to the right.

Highlight Yes and press OK to begin the update. The update may take anywhere from one to two minutes. The message shown at right will be displayed when the update is complete.
