When playing back recorded TV I get random frames flash white. It is nothing like the other problem mentioned as there is no picture corruption in the sense of blocking or broken images. Pretty annoying since this problem was first reported to Intel 6 months ago and officially acknowledged in August.
Rumor had it the next driver was going to contain the fix, but so far nothing Intel - any update on this? Pretty much grounds for everyone to return the board since it doesn't work with the world's most popular operating system. BTW - this is the first Intel board that's given me real trouble.
Go into the graphics settings for your Intel HD Not sure why, but when this is checked I got all sorts of screen flicker. Hope it works for you! I have no such feature for my HD I'd like to try that to see if it works. On a side note this problem is unavoidable IF you run your windows media center through an extender like Xbox , that's what I'm doing and have been for a week now, and will continue to do until a fix is figured out by intel.
It's really no hassel at all as it works exactly the same, and to be honest I think the picture is better being processed by the 's dedicated, and I think the sound is better coming through the Xbox than it is coming through the sound card included with my Mobo, a Realtek ALC At first I removed the "use exclusively" option, and that caused the problem to stop BUT caused my sound to be output as PCM rather than bitstream, I prefer bitstream all day long.
I eventually switched from having the sound output through the HDMI to using a optical out as that fixed my problem of getting the "video files not installed A fix for this issue has been checked into the latest driver. I can be mistaken with the exact product name sorry about that if I have confused you , though, please have a look at the doc attached a manual for the ArcSoft software I got.
I installed the software on Win 10 with no issues for testing purposes. I already updated my drivers for the video card and firmware for my tv, and that did not solve the issue. I uninstalled any codecs and that did not solve the issue either. I am completely out of ideas at this moment on what to do. Any ideas? When I make my Samsung the only one displayed the flickering does not occur. Tuesday, July 28, PM. Cmon guys Wednesday, July 29, AM. Quite a few people out there seem to be having the problem but I have not found a solution yet. I am operating with a single display. Guessing it could be related to the screen refresh rate that we have picked or possibly the video card device driver.
This is based on some of the stuff I read while searching for a solution for this problem online. Friday, August 14, PM. You may try adjusting the refresh rate in the Media Center settings. I had a similar problem with Vista, and that seemed to do the trick. Media Center usually changes the display settings while it is running. With TVs, the refresh rate seems to matter more. However, with my same machine but with Win7 the flicker is back.
I had to go down to 30Hz much lower than my Vista setting for the main system setting to make it stop flickering. But Media Center won't allow me to select those same settings and refresh rates.

Hi guys, you certanly got rid of the problem you have with flickering but I'll post the solution and it's so easy and got nothing to do with refresh rate or graphic drivers or anything like that The issue comes from the graphic card settings, I for example have nvidia geforce gt,and the driver comes along with the 3d stereoscopic something, I realized it troubled me with some other games like Age of empires 3 and C.
I resulting in weird green and red colours and this setting have to do something with compatibility between the card and the software games I turned off stereoscopic 3d unchecked and I restored my other settings to default and there it goes I have a full screen with no flickering and damn I'm so glad to see that, so to anyone still looking for solution do not install suspicious beta programs or drivers or fixes for it is not the problem, you just set your VGA 3d settings Hope someone benefits from this post Saturday, February 27, AM.
